Copyright & DMCA notices
Last updated: 2026-09-29
VoomReel does not host or store any videos or photos. Every file comes from the platform it was posted on, at the moment someone asks for it, and only that platform can remove it. What we can do is stop VoomReel from processing a link. This page is how to ask for that.
Where to send a notice
Email contact@voomreel.com, with "Copyright notice" in the subject line.
What a notice must include
- The links you want blocked: the address of each post on the platform it was posted on (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and so on).
- The copyrighted work those links infringe, or, if a notice covers many works, a representative list of them.
- Your name and contact details: postal address, phone number and email. If you act for the rights holder, say whom you represent.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.
- Your signature, physical or electronic. Typing your full name is enough.
This list follows the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)), and it also covers what the EU Digital Services Act asks of a notice. A notice written for either works here. If yours is missing something, we will write back and say what.
What happens next
- We review every notice we receive.
- Where a notice is valid, we block the post itself, not just the address you sent. The same post reached through a share link, a short link or any other form of its address is refused too.
- Where a notice covers everything an uploader or channel has posted, we can block that uploader.
- We reply to confirm what we blocked.
- Anyone who then pastes a blocked link is told that the rights holder asked us to stop processing it.
To have the content itself taken down, contact the platform it is posted on. Removing it there also stops it working here, because VoomReel keeps no copy.
If your content was blocked by mistake
If you posted content that we blocked and you believe the notice was wrong (for example, because you own the work or have a licence to use it), email the same address. Include the link, why you believe the block is a mistake, and your name and contact details. We will review it and lift the block if the notice was mistaken.
False notices
A notice has real consequences for the people who posted the content. Under the DMCA, someone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing can be liable for the damages that causes (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)). Please send notices only for work you hold the rights to or represent.
About this process
VoomReel is operated from the European Union. This process is how we act on notices under EU law, and it accepts notices in the DMCA format so that rights holders can use the notice they already send elsewhere. See also section 11 of our Terms of Service.
