Who we are

VoomReel is a free tool that lets you download publicly available videos from Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Douyin, and Dailymotion by pasting a link. This policy explains what data we handle when you use it.

What we collect

• Basic analytics — page views, which links are fetched, and downloads. Your IP address is stored only as an irreversible hashed value (never in the clear), used to count unique visitors and prevent abuse. Analytics events are retained for a limited period and are never linked to a name, email, or account, because we don't have those.
• The link you paste — sent to our server only to look up the media. We do not keep a log of the links you paste beyond what's needed to serve the request; a short-lived failure log (used only to diagnose broken sources, auto-deleted after 7 days) may record that a fetch failed and why, keyed to a hashed IP, not the link's content.
• Consent and language choice — small cookies remembering whether you accepted the terms/ads, and your language preference.

We do not require an account, and we never ask for your login or password on any of the supported platforms.

The download itself

For some sources (Instagram), your browser fetches the file directly from that platform's own servers — it never passes through us. For others, our server briefly relays the file to your browser so the download works reliably across devices; in that case the file is streamed straight through and is not stored, inspected, logged, or retained on our servers at any point — nothing is written to disk, and it exists only for the seconds it takes to reach you. We have no library, archive, or record of anything anyone has downloaded through the service.

Advertising cookies

If you click "Accept all", third-party advertising partners may set cookies to show and measure ads. These load only after your consent. If you choose "Reject non-essential", no advertising cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time by clearing cookies for this site.

Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. Data is shared only with (a) advertising partners, and only for visitors who accepted advertising cookies, and (b) infrastructure providers (hosting, CDN/DDoS protection) strictly to operate the service. We do not share data with the platforms you download from.

International use

The service is hosted in the EU and may use a global content-delivery network for performance and security, which can route traffic through servers in other countries. No personal data beyond a hashed IP is involved in that routing.

Children's privacy

VoomReel is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it — though as noted above, we generally have nothing identifying to remove.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you may request access to or deletion of any personal data. Because we only store hashed, non-identifying data, we typically cannot link records to a specific individual to act on such a request. Contact: [email protected].

Changes

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date will change accordingly. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
