How to Download Kick Clips
Updated 2026-10-06
The clip's link is all it takes to save a Kick clip: paste it into VoomReel and you get the clip as an MP4 with its sound, without signing in to Kick. In our test a 44-second 1080p clip came down as a 47 MB file in under five seconds. Here is how on a phone and on a computer, which links work, and what you get.
- 1Copy the clip's link
Open the clip on kick.com or in the Kick app and copy its link, with the Share button or from the browser's address bar. It looks like
kick.com/channel/clips/clip_followed by a code. - 2Paste it into VoomReel
Open voomreel.com, or the Kick clip downloader page, and paste the link into the box at the top.
- 3Download
Tap Download. On Android and on a computer the MP4 saves straight away; on iPhone, Safari downloads it to Files ▸ Downloads.
The links that work
A clip's own link: kick.com/channel/clips/clip_…. The older form with the clip in a question mark, kick.com/channel?clip=clip_…, works too, and so does either one with www in front.
A link to a channel is that channel's live stream, and a link with /videos/ in it is a whole past broadcast; neither is a clip. Open the clip itself, from the channel's Clips tab or wherever it was shared, and copy that link instead.
What quality you get
Kick keeps one copy of each clip, at the resolution the stream was broadcast in, and that copy is what you get. Clips from 1080p streams came down at 1920×1080, H.264 video with AAC sound; a clip from 2023 came down at 1664×936, the size that stream was sent at.
Nothing is upscaled and nothing is re-encoded. Kick plays recent clips as a stream of short pieces, and VoomReel joins those pieces into one MP4 on the way to you, copying the picture and sound as they are.
Sound included, every time
Every clip Kick stores holds its picture and its sound together, so there is no separate audio track to lose. Each clip we downloaded played with its sound, recent and old alike.
How long and how large
Kick clips run from a few seconds up to three minutes: in a sample of 240 recent clips from six large channels the shortest was 10 seconds, the longest 180, and 12 sat at exactly 180.
At 1080p a clip is about 1 MB per second, so a 30-second clip is around 30 MB and a full three-minute clip around 180 MB (the one we tested was 186 MB, all of it there).
Where the file ends up
On Android it goes to the Downloads folder, and the Gallery or Google Photos shows it as a video. On a computer it lands wherever your browser saves downloads.
On iPhone, Safari downloads it like any other file: the downloads arrow appears in the toolbar and the clip is in the Files app under Downloads. Open it there, tap the Share icon and choose Save Video to add it to Photos.
Clips other viewers made, and mature-rated channels
Anyone watching a stream can clip it, and a viewer's clip downloads exactly like the streamer's own: the clips we tested were made by viewers.
Clips from channels rated for mature audiences need no Kick account either. About half the clips in our sample carried that rating, and they downloaded the same way as the rest.
Just the sound, or the cover image
Once the clip is found, the MP3 button saves its sound as an MP3 file. The Cover photo button saves the still image Kick shows before the clip plays.
Using what you save
A saved clip is a copy for your own use. If you post it somewhere else, credit the streamer, and ask before using someone's clip in anything you earn money from.
FAQ
Do I need a Kick account to download a clip?
No. A public clip's link is all VoomReel needs, and it never asks you to sign in.
Will the clip have sound?
Yes. Kick stores the picture and the sound together in every clip, so the MP4 plays exactly like the clip on Kick.
What quality will the clip be?
The resolution the stream was broadcast in: 1080p for a clip from a 1080p stream. Kick keeps one copy of each clip, and that is the one you get.
How long can a Kick clip be?
Up to three minutes, as far as we measured: the longest of 240 recent clips was 180 seconds.
Can I save a whole stream or a past broadcast?
VoomReel saves clips. To keep a moment from a stream, clip it on Kick (any viewer can) and paste the clip's link.
Can I download a clip someone else made?
Yes. A clip made by any viewer downloads the same way as the streamer's own.
What file do I get?
An MP4 with H.264 video and AAC sound, which plays on any phone, computer or video editor.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes, in any modern browser. On iPhone the clip goes to Files ▸ Downloads, and Share → Save Video puts it in Photos.
