How to Download LinkedIn Videos
Updated 2026-10-04
LinkedIn's own Save button only bookmarks a post inside LinkedIn; it does not put the video on your device. What does is the post's link. Paste it into VoomReel and you get the video as an MP4 with its sound, in the best copy LinkedIn keeps, without signing in to anything. Here is how on a phone and on a computer, and which posts can be saved.
- 1Copy the post's link
Open the ⋯ menu at the top of the post and choose Copy link to post. In the app, Share via and then Copy works as well.
- 2Paste it into VoomReel
Open voomreel.com in your browser and paste the link into the box at the top.
- 3Download
Tap Download. On Android and on a computer the MP4 saves straight away; on iPhone it opens in a new tab, where Share → Save Video puts it in Photos.
The links that work
The app's link looks like linkedin.com/posts/ followed by the author's name, a few words of the post and a long number. Whatever tracking LinkedIn adds after a question mark can stay; VoomReel ignores it.
On a computer, Copy link to post gives a linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity: address. Links that search results and embed codes carry, with urn:li:ugcPost: in them, work too, and so do country addresses such as de.linkedin.com.
Where the file ends up
On Android it goes to the Downloads folder, and the Gallery or Google Photos shows it as a video. On a computer it lands wherever your browser saves downloads.
On iPhone the video opens in a new tab. Tap the Share icon, then Save Video, and it appears in Photos with your recent items; Save to Files keeps it in the Files app instead.
What quality you get
LinkedIn keeps each video several times over, at different bitrates, and VoomReel hands you the copy with the highest one. The frame size is whatever LinkedIn kept from the upload: nothing is upscaled, and nothing is re-encoded on the way.
The file is a single MP4 with the sound already in it, because that is how LinkedIn stores its videos. There is nothing to merge, so nothing can come out silent.
Which posts can be saved
Video and photo posts that anyone can see, including people who are not signed in. VoomReel never signs in to LinkedIn, so it sees a post exactly as a signed-out visitor does. The quick test is a private browser window: if the post shows its video or photos there, it can be saved.
A post shared with connections or group members only answers a signed-out visitor with LinkedIn's sign-up page, and so does a deleted one. From a photo post you get every picture in it as a JPG, including the ones behind LinkedIn's +3 tile, 800 pixels wide: the size LinkedIn shows signed-out visitors.
Just the sound, or the cover image
Once the video is found, the MP3 button saves its sound as an MP3 file, which suits a talk or an interview you want to listen to. The Cover photo button saves the image LinkedIn shows before the video plays.
Using what you save
A saved video is a copy for your own reference. If you want to share someone's video elsewhere, ask them first and credit them; reposting it inside LinkedIn is what the Repost button is for.
FAQ
Can I download a LinkedIn video without an account?
Yes. If the post is public, its link is all VoomReel needs, and it never asks you to sign in.
Why does the link open LinkedIn's sign-up page?
Because the post is not public: it is shared with connections or members only, or it was deleted. A post like that cannot be saved by any tool that does not sign in as you.
Does the download keep the sound?
Yes. LinkedIn stores video and sound in one file, so the MP4 plays exactly like the post.
Which LinkedIn link formats work?
linkedin.com/posts/… links from the app, linkedin.com/feed/update/… links from a computer, embed links, and urn:li:ugcPost links from search results. Country addresses like de.linkedin.com work too.
Can I download LinkedIn Learning courses?
No. Course videos sit behind a subscription. VoomReel saves video posts from the LinkedIn feed.
Can I save only the audio?
Yes. After the video is found, the MP3 button saves its sound as an MP3.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes, in any modern browser. On iPhone the video opens in a new tab, and Share → Save Video puts it in Photos.
